It was a little disappointed for this chamber. It only reflects that reaching the desired temperature is no guarantee of success. There are no variations of flame and ash flow here so the pieces have no exciting ash or salting effect. There are signs that the pieces are engulfed in a river of fire but no marks are left by the sand or shell waddings. In wood firing, ashes may drift onto the clay pieces but they just will not melt resulting in a dry and dull finish. however, these pieces can be re-fired later to melt the ashes again to achieve the desirable outcome.
